Who we are
RideUnion is a community app for motorcycle riders. We act as the data controller for the account and ride data you create in the app.
What we store
Your account email, rider profile (display name, experience, riding styles, languages, optional bio and photo), your garage of motorcycles, the clubs you belong to, the rides you create or join, the places you save, and the GPS tracks of solo rides you choose to record.
Location data
Your profile location is used to show local weather and to sort rides by distance. Precise GPS positions are only read while you are actively recording a ride or navigating, are stored with that ride, and are never shared with other riders unless you publish the ride.
Who can see your data
Other riders can see your public rider passport, the rides you organise or join, and your club memberships. Your email address, exact home address and unpublished drafts are never shown to other riders.
Third parties
We use Google Maps Platform for places, routes and maps, and a weather provider for forecasts. Coordinates are sent to these services to answer your request. We do not sell personal data and we do not use advertising trackers.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Settings includes a one-tap export of everything stored about you, and deleting your account removes your profile, garage, rides and recorded tracks.
Retention
Data is kept while your account exists. Recorded solo rides you delete are removed immediately; account deletion removes the rest.
